Grading Policy (for 7th Grade)
Six Weeks averages are calculated using the following assignment weights:
55% -- Tests and major projects
45% -- Daily work, homework & quizzes
Grading Penalties for Late Work in 7th Grade:
1. Work is expected to be turned in on the day it is due.
2. In the event that an assignment is turned in late, it must be
turned in before the final assessment for the unit to receive
any credit. (The final assessment may be a test, project, web
quest, etc.)
3. A major project will receive a 10-point deduction for EACH day
it is late.
4. A homework or daily work assignment will receive a:
* 20-point deduction the first day it is late
* 30-point deduction the second day it is late
* 40-point deduction the third day it is late
