How are grades calculated?

Grading Policy  
 Grading Policy for 7th Grade 
Tests & Projects are worth 55%
Daily grades & Quizzes - 45%

  

Six weeks averages are calculated using the following assignment 
weights: 

  

50%--Tests and major projects 

50%--Daily work/homework (25%) and quizzes (25%) 

  

Grade Penalties for Late Work in 6th Grade: 

  

Work is expected to be turned in on the day it is due. 
In the event that an assignment is turned in late, it must be 
turned in 
before the final assessment for the unit to receive any credit.  
(The final 
assessment may be a test, project, web quest, etc.) 
A major project will receive a 10-point deduction for each day it 
is late 
Daily work will receive a 20-point deduction the first day it is 
late.
