Important Dates to Remember:
1. August 12th, Parent meeting for girl athletes in the cafeteria 6-7pm.
INFORMATION ABOUT FALL ATHLETICS CLASS
***ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN BEFORE TRYOUTS !!!
1. Volleyball tryouts will start the 2nd day of school. 7th grade will start
at 7:00am and the 8th gr will try out after school. Basketball tryouts are
in November and if you make the team you will be enrolled in the athletics
class at that time (if you currently aren't in the class). You do NOT have to
be in the class to run cross-country in the fall or track in the spring.
2. You must have a medical physical. Please fill out ALL forms that we
issued in May and return them prior to tryouts. Several signatures are
required by the parent AND the athlete. The only form that you cannot fill
out yourself is the last page and that will be completed by a doctor.
3. The coaches will be back around August 11th. Please e-mail any questions
using the link found on this website or call 428-2363 and leave a message.
We will place blank physical forms in the front office of the school if you
need them this summer. We will have a mandatory parent meeting the week
prior to the beginning of the school year. It usually lasts a little over an
hour and it will be held in the evening. The exact date and time will be
posted on this website as soon as it becomes known.Paperwork can also be
turned in at this time.
5. What you need for the class: solid black shorts, running shoes, and an
athletic shirt(s)- we will sell those in August for $12.00
each. We also sent home forms with the girls the last week of school.
Important Info. reguarding next years athletes:
McNeil is hosting its 3rd annual Physical Day on saturday May 17th 2008.
Certified doctors from the Round Rock area have volunteered their time to
conduct the physicals for any child in the RRISD from age 6th grade to 12th.
The cost of the physicals are $20. For an additional $5 your child can have
a heart screening. Current Cedar Valley and McNeil bound students are asked
to go from 11:45pm - 1:00pm. Physical forms may be downloaded on the RRISD
website under Departments/Athletics/Forms.
FOUR IN A ROW!!!!
-Congratulations to the Jaguar track teams for another outstanding 2008
season! The 7th and 8th grade boys won district championships!The 7th grade
girls won, as well. The 8th grade girls finished third. For team totals and
individual results please see the other links on this site. Thanks to all
the parents and administrators who helped out at our meets this year. Once
again, CONGRATULATIONS JAGUARS!
The track meet scheduled for today, March 6th, has been cancelled. It will
NOT be made up !

Athletes and Pe students :
Please bring some type of sweatpants or windpants for class. We will be
outside unless it is raining. Any color sweats will do !!
