Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving. We will be here for two days and then off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you are traveling have a safe trip. If you are staying close then have a great holiday.
Tuesday we will be having our November movie, it will Disney's UP. We are sure the students will enjoy it. I did when I previewed it. We will not be doing a cooking project this week beacause of the short week.
Wednesday Dec 2,2009 is an early release day. We will once again be having lunch in our room, this time Mrs. Lewis's class will be joining us. We have had individual pizzas donated to the class. We will have these and a dessert that we will make that morning. Please plan accordingly for your child to be home that afternoon. The buses will load at 1:25 pm.
This is also the time of year we start deciding what crafts to do for the holidays. We will start these as soon as we return from Thanksgiving holiday. The students and the adults enjoy this time of year. We are planning on having a book exchange between the students this year. They all enjoy books and so we thought we would have each child bring a book and trade for another book that someone else brought. I will be sending details home after Thanksgiving.
The bracelet sale is going very well. We will continue to make and sale them until Christmas break. Thanks to everyone who has bought one. The funds raised will be used for activities for our students and the peer mentors.
If your child comes in after 8:20 please stop at the attendance office and check them into school. It is district policy that if your child has some kind on private therapy, that absence can be excused, but you must bring a note form the therapist every time they are out. Just as you do for a Doctor's appointment. If your child has to be out of school, please let us know in advance so we can prepare them to go home.
