Pun FunPun: The humorous use of a word or phrase so as to emphasize or suggest its different meanings or applications, or the use of words that are alike or nearly alike in sound but different in meaning; a play on words. November 30-December 4: "He ate so much over the holidays that he decided to quit cold turkey." November 16-20: "Energizer Bunny arrested - charged with battery." November 9-13: "A small boy swallowed some coins and was taken to the hospital. When is grandmother telephoned to ask how he was, the nurse told her that there was no change yet." November 2-6: "Did you see the guys that Bob the ventriloquist hangs out with? They're nothing special, just a bunch of dummies." October 26-30: "Did you hear about the guy whose whole left side was cut off? He's all right now. October 19-23: "There was once a cross-eyed teacher who couldn't control his pupils."
October 12-16: "Never lie to an x-ray technician. They can see right through you." October 5-9: "He used to repair televisions, but his business went down the tubes." September 28-October 2: "The warden gave the inmates acne medicine hoping it would keep them from breaking out." September 21-25: "He became an astronaut and had a blast." September 14-18: "Police were called to a daycare where a three-year-old was resisting a rest." September 7-11: "The price of the big fan blew me away." August 31-September 4: "I was wondering why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me."
August 25-28: “An English teacher, who was dreadfully afraid of insects, while on a picnic screamed like a little girl when he saw there was an antonym.” |
