SAC Guidelines

SAC GUIDELINES

How to be successful…

Cedar Valley Middle School is your school.
You must see yourself as part of the whole picture,
Making good choices is your responsibility and gains you respect.  

1. Permission is gained when you raise your hand.  No talking or getting out 
of your chair without permission.  Only one student is allowed to stand, 
this includes all areas of this room – including my desk, sharpening your 
pencil, throwing away trash, and/or going to the bookshelf.

2. Correct study posture is expected at all times.  No resting on the desk. 

3. Water bottles are allowed.  No gum, candy, snacks, or sodas are allowed 
at any time, including with your lunch.

4. You will be given a lunch break around noon.  The cafeteria will serve a 
hot lunch with chocolate milk, regular milk, or water using your account 
number.  If you do not have money in your account you will receive an 
alternate lunch.   You may bring a nutritious lunch from home (no gum, 
candy, chips, or soda).  Food from a restraunt or fast food will not be 
allowed.  There is no microwave available in this room. 
Correct manners are expected when eating your lunch.

5. You are given two three minute restroom breaks during the day.  
Permission will be granted when you raise your hand.

6. Quality, legible work is expected on every assignment.  Questions and 
answers are to be written in complete sentences.  All work assigned to you 
in SAC must be completed before leaving.  You will return the next school 
day to SAC until the work is complete.

7. Seating is assigned, and materials are available upon request.  You will 
need to bring your own books, workbooks, pens, & pencils.  Damage done to 
classroom equipment (desk, books, walls, borrowed items, etc.) is subject to 
replacement and/or referral.

8. School dress code is expected and enforced in SAC.
