  • Literature circles - first book discussion today
  • Introduction to short answer responses 
  • HW:  continue to read novels and complete assignments for next book discussion, which will be held Nov. 16

Tuesday, 11/10

  • Continue practice with short answer responses
  • Group/partner activity to grade/rate responses
  • Vocabulary - List 3 
  • HW:  Complete the reading according to the literature circle schedule and complete the individual role as assigned by Friday for the first literature circle meeting.  Vocabulary words due by Tuesday

Wednesday, 11/11 - Veterans Day (wear red, white and blue)
  • Research assignment using lap tops in the classroom.
  • HW:  Continue reading and working on literature circle role, which is due on Monday.  Also, vocabualary due tomorrow.

 

Thursday, 11/12
  •  Share research results 
  • Go over vocabulary words
  • TAKS practice - editing passage
  • HW:  Literature circle roles must be ready by Monday. 
Friday, 11/13
  • Students will be given the day to work on reading, role sheets, vocabulary and journal for lit circle.  Be prepared for another book discussion on Monday.
