Announcements
 Dear Students,

I am excited about working with you this year. My job is to help you become
lifelong readers and writers. In order to ensure that you have a successful
year, I have compiled a brief list of expectations:

1. Come to class on time with your DEAR (library) book, Reader-Writer
Notebook (a polybinder with paper and dividers), and blue or black pen.

2. Turn in all final copies of compositions in blue or black ink or typed,
with the correct heading, and with words spelled correctly.

3. Respect the opinions, feelings, and property of others.

4. Bring your planner each day to record assignments and due dates.

5. Record daily reading on your reading log.

POLYBINDER ORGANIZATION:

1. Reading Response / Warm-ups

2. Reading Workshop

3. Writing Workshop

4. Spelling and Vocabulary

5. Record Keeping

NOTE TO PARENTS:

Assignments are subject to change depending on class needs and pace.
Checking your child's planner each day will give you the most current
information about assignments.

TUTORING TIMES:

Tuesday - 3:30 - 4:00
Thursday - 7:45 - 8:15
Please make an appointment with me to be sure that I do not have conflicts
at those times. Students may come in for tutoring any day during advisory
class.
