Middle School Art Show
In The Middle / The Fourth Annual Round Rock ISD Middle School Art Exhibition is currently on display at the Round Rock ISD Performing Arts Center (RRISD PAC) from Dec. 1 -Dec. 12, 2009. Hours for the exhibition are 9am-6 pm, Monday – Friday. A complete notice and listing can be found on the Art Exhibition Notice . I am proud of all my students and congratulate those whose work is on display. I hope you will take time to view the show by Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009. Please note that weekend hours for the RRISD Performing Arts Center vary due to the performance schedule and we advise calling before you go on the weekend. Thank you for your support of the art program at Chisholm Trail Middle School and if you have questions, please call me at the contact information below.

Grades
We encourage parents to use the Home Access Center option of Gradespeed to check your child’s progress in not only our classes, but all their others at CTMS as well! Call the school at 464.2500 if you have questions on this monitoring option for parents.
We are already having to turn in grades for progress reports ---
do you have anything missing or incomplete? If so, please come to tutorials any morning beginning at 7:45 am.

We are working campus-wide to put our lessons online for our community to see what is happening day-by-day in our classrooms. Check out

Curriculum Focus for the week of
Nov. 30- Dec. 11, 2009
Advanced Art 8
This week we complete an altered book project on fear.
Due on Thursday. Be sure to check the
Altered Book page. We continue our painting uint in acrylics. Students are working on self-portraits and continue to explore color in a new medium. They also have practiced the Durer Technique as they work towards realism in their portraits.
