When can I come for tutoring or help with school work?
Please feel free to drop in on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings, between 7:45 and 8:10. I can also meet with you most afternoons after school, if you let me know you're planning to come for tutoring.Back to Top
Homework assignments are graded on an "effort" basis. If you make a good-faith attempt to finish the assignment, you can receive full credit.Back to Top
What if I don't finish my work in class?

How does our class reward system work?
Students earn tickets for class participation and SuperStars for achieving our Guidelines (Caring, Respect, Effort, Attitude, Teamwork, Enthusiasm). One class dollar equals 10 tickets or 5 SuperStars or a weekly 80% or higher in behavior. 90% or higher in weekly behavior equals two class dollars. Students can use class dollars to buy juice, healthy snacks, or prizes. Students can also earn free time and choice activities.Back to Top
What are the consequences for not meeting Classroom Expectations?
All students receive a "free warning" for the first non- severe failure to meet expectations. After that, consequences are applied for each successive failure to meet expectations. 1. Warning. 2. 5 minutes away from group. 3. 10 minutes away from group. 4. Phone call home. 5. After-school detention. For severe violations of school or classroom rules, a student may receive an office referral.Back to Top
What should I do when I first enter the classroom?
Come into the classroom calmly. Fill out your Agenda with the day's assignments. Complete the class Warm-up or Journal writing. Finish any make-up work or read quietly. Come see me and tell me this answer to receive a ticket!Back to Top
