I was born and raised in Nebraska, and graduated from the University of
Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating from
college, I taught third grade for nine years until I married and my children
came along.I have lived in Grapevine for the past nine years with my
husband, Jim, and my two children, Allie and Cooper. Once Allie and Cooper
were older,I returned to education, serving as the Reading Specialist for
CTMS for two years. I felt a strong need to be in the classroom with a group
of students to call my own, and after a little shuffling, landed in 7th
grade Pre-Ap Language Arts. Last year, I also taught 8th graders in U.S.
Discoveries. The 2008-09 school year promises to bring wonderful experiences
in 6th grade language arts, as well. When I'm not at Cross Timbers Middle
School doing a job that I love to do, I spend my time attending my
children's sporting events and school activities, reading great
books, and scrapbooking!
