I believe teaching is my calling. Having completed a business degree from
Baylor University, I had goals to “conquer the corporate world.” However,
after spending four years as an employment counselor with Texas Employment
Commission, I decided to enter the teaching field. While observing adults
who could not complete their own job applications, I made a decision to
pursue my teaching certificate at the University of Texas at Arlington
because I wanted to make a difference on the local level. Teaching has
proved to be a wonderful profession for me. Students with whom I work know
that I believe in “respect for respect” in the classroom.
My goal is to help students find their favorite author and develop a life-
long love for reading and writing.
