Monday, November 9, 2009-

- Check & correct both sides of Chpt. 4 Forces & Motion Note Taking WS.

- Allow students to print out 3 Graphs Projects in Lab as needed.

- Discuss Newton’s 3 laws of motion, reference points, motion, force, acceleration, inertia, friction, gravity, force pairs (unbalanced & balanced), speed and distance.

- Go over directions and expectations for Pre-AP 3 Laws of Motion Diagrams project due Fri. 11/7/08.

Homework:        Complete both sides of Describing Motion WS due tom. !  

Work on Pre-AP 3 Laws of Motion Diagrams project due Thurs. 11/19.

Reminders:         Notebook TEST #4 & Chpt. 4 Forces & Motion Quiz on Fri.11/13/09.

Pre-AP 3 Laws of Motion Diagrams project due Thurs. 11/19/09.

NASA Permission Slips & All forms due on Fri. 11/19,

Tuesday, November 10, 2009 & Wednesday, November 11, 2009- SMART Days!

- Pass back and go over Pre-AP Sci. Method/Nature of Sci. TEST from Fri. 11/6.

- Check, correct & discuss both sides of Describing Motion WS.

- Discuss Newton’s 3 laws of motion, reference points, motion, force, acceleration, inertia, friction, gravity, force pairs (unbalanced & balanced), speed and distance.

- Work with partner in lab on Solving a Problem with a Scientific Method Lab and accompanying Lab WS.

Homework:        Complete both sides of Chpt. 4 Sect. 1 Describing Motion Review WS due Thurs. 11/12 for a grade!  Complete all pages of Sci. Method A Way of Problem Solving Lab WS due on Thurs. 11/12 for a Lab grade!  Work on Pre-AP 3 Laws of Motion Diagrams project due Fri. 11/19.

- Discuss and demonstrate Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion, distance, speed, acceleration, friction, inertia, and balanced and unbalanced forces.

- Answer questions about forces & motion for Quiz tomorrow.

Homework:        Organize Science section of your notebook for Notebook TEST #4

                                tomorrow and be sure you have a copy of the TOC!   Study Chpt. 4
