Personal Statement:
I love 6th grade students, and I will be working hard to insure
your child’s success here at Cross Timbers Middle School!
It is my hope that your child will leave this year with increased
reading and writing skills, and a renewed sense of purpose about the effect
literature and expressive writing can have on each of us!
Educational Philosophy:
A classroom where mutual respect is fostered between the teacher and
students provides a safe climate for learning and discovery. All students
greatly benefit from interpreting and analyzing the writer’s ideas,
while reading and participating in literary discussions. Communicating
special experiences and insight through speaking and writing are also a main
focus of this course.
