Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to ESL II/ESL III. My goal is for us to have a successful
year. In order for this to happen, I have included a list of
expectations for the 2007-2008 school year.
Behavior:
*Be polite to your classmates and teacher at all
times.
*Be in your seat and ready to learn when the bell
rings.
*Complete all assignments.
*Do your BEST work.
Consequences:
*Warning
*Detention with a phone call to parents.
*Conference with parents.
*Referral to an administrator.
Helpful Information:
*Planners:
1. All students must have a planner to record daily assignments.
Planners will be checked
daily during Wolf Pack.
2. Planners will be used as a hall pass. Students
must have a planner to exit the room (restroom,
locker…).
*Supplies:
1. Students must have a spiral, binder, pens/pencils
and a red ink pen for class.
2. These supplies will be left in the class. Students
must keep all papers, as indicated by teacher, in their binder.
*Assignments:
1. All assignments will be posted daily.
2. Students are responsible for writing assignments in planners,
3. Warm-up exercises are on the board at the beginning of each class
period. Students are expected to complete these in a timely
manner. They must make all corrections during class review.
4. All class work must be finished and given to teacher for a
completion grade.
*Grading Policy:
1. All work will be graded according to the following
Rubric:
*Assessments (30%)- These include tests, quizzes
and projects.
*Daily Work (30%)- Daily assignments are
important for completion.
*Class Participation (25%)-
*Homework/Notebook (20%)
Tutorials:
*Tutorials will be offered as needed.

***We do have a Spanish translator on staff to accommodate the needs
of our Spanish speaking families.
I am excited about working with your child this year. Feel free to
