CURTSINGER ELEMENTARY LIBRARY

A LIGHTHOUSE FOR LEARNING

Welcome to the Claude Curtsinger Library. The library at Curtsinger Elementary School is the hub of the school. Its resources and services are a vital ingredient of every student's continuous learning experience.

The staff and the students at Curtsinger Elementary School have availability to the library throughout the day because of the flexible access policy. Students in every grade level learn research skills as the teachers and Ms. Scott integrate the classroom curriculum with the library's resources. While completing research in the library, the students learn the Big Six Information Seeking Strategies, cooperative group skills, note-taking techniques, and lifetime information skills.

The Curtsinger Library sponsors several reading programs and provides the students with innumerable books and resources to motivate them to acquire a lifelong habit of reading and learning. The library and teachers throughout the school strive to assist students in acquiring a true love and joy for reading and a knowledge of research skills.
