On Saturday, Oct.24th, 90 Dawson Middle School band students auditioned for a
chair in the Carroll ISD All-City Honor Band. Each student entered the
audition room and performed two scales and chromatic for memory, and then
cuts from two etudes that they have been preparing. After the etudes, each
student had 30 seconds to look over an 8 measure example. After the thirty
seconds, they had to play the example. Scores were added up and the two
judges in each room ranked the students in order. Please congratulate the
