This week we will begin chapter 6A by learning about furniture items,
electronics, and colors found in one's bedroom. We will also review how to
describe the location of items, as well as the grammar of nouns and articles.
Students have a new vocabulary list that they should study everyday.
Monday - Intro to chapter 6A. Vocabulary pages 272-273. Cultural information
on pages 270 and 290. Homework - study new vocabulary (furniture,
electronics, colors).
Tuesday - Review 6A vocabulary. Workbook pages 103-104. Listening activities.

This week we will finish our lesson on ser vs. estar and take a final
assessment. We will also practice the questions and answers for the oral
assessment and starting taking that this week.

Tuesday - Review ser vs. estar. Written practice. Practice questions and

This week we will take a quiz over the verb "estar" and related vocabulary.
We will get and practice with the list of questions that will be on the oral
assessment. We will review and practice the differences between the two ways
to say "to be" in Spanish.
Students should be studying their notes on ser vs. estar and should be
practicing their questions for the oral assessment. We will be having a QUIZ
on ser vs. estar next week and will have the oral assessment right before the
Thanksgiving holiday.

This week we will be reviewing the verb "estar" and its related vocabulary.

VOCABULARY OVER FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS.

Muertos.
Tuesday - Introduction to vocabulary and review of "estar" with notes.

This week we will finish our unit on the family and descriptions with some
final activities and review.

This test will cover family relations, possessive adjectives, the
verbs "tener" and "ser", descriptive adjectives, hair/eye color and
comparisons.

This week we will work on descriptions. We will review the verb "ser" (to be)
and the adjectives to describe personality. We will also learn new adjectives
related to physical traits and age.
Students have a new vocabulary handout that they should study EVERYDAY. There
will be a QUIZ on Monday, Oct. 19 over this material.
Tuesday - Introduction to new and review vocabulary and verb "ser". Sentence
practice with the reasons for using "ser". Homework - Study vocabulary.
Wednesday - Discuss rules for adjective endings. Writing and speaking

This week we will begin our first new unit over the family. We will begin by
learning the family relationships in Spanish, and will continue the unit by
learning how to describe ourselves and others.
