The Texas Bluebonnet Reading Program is a State-wide program in Texas where students in grades 3-6 read 20 nominated books each year. In January, students who have read 5 or more from the list get to vote for their favorite. Ballots are counted across the state and the winner receives the Texas Bluebonnet Award for that year. Our voting day was Jan. 27, 2010 .
