The Double File Trail Science Fair will be held on
January 28, 2010. Participation in the Science Fair provides a wonderful
opportunity to bring science into your home. Selection of a project should
match your child's interests and abilities. The science fair experience should
be fun for your child, something they really want to do!
Each child entering will receive a ribbon and/or
certificate. Winners in first to fifth grade from each category will advance
to the Austin Regional Science Festival held at the Palmer Events Center
February 26-27, 2010.
Students may enter the following types of projects:
Collection with Classification suggested
for grades PreK-2
Exhibit: Model, Demonstration, or Display with Report suggested
for grades PreK-2
Experiment suggested
for grades 3-5
Experiments must follow the steps of the scientific
method.
