Accelerated Reader is a program that we have in the library where students
read certain books, take a test to check comprehension, earn points, and win
prizes. If you are interested in the AR program, please stop by the library
and I will be happy to fill you in.
The theme for AR this year is "Sail into Learning by Reading". Names of
students who earn a minimum number of points will be displayed on sailboats
on the bulletin board outside the library. In order to make the "point
club" the following point levels must be met each 6 week grading period:
Kindergarten and First Grade - 2.5 points
Second Grade - 5 points
Third and Fourth Grade - 10 points
Students who have made the "point club" at least four out of the six 6 week
grading periods will get to attend the celebration at the end of the year.
