White House for Kids

DALLAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - This site is also really well done. It has a
section for kids and a section for teachers. In the kids section there is an
orchestra seating chart, an instrument encyclopedia, a "make your own
Instruments" section and an excellent section telling students how to
practice. This section would be great for beginning band, orchestra or piano
students. You may have some difficulty if you have a Mac. Audio samples use
windows media player.

A really fun learning experience with music. Rhythm, pitches, instruments
of the orchestra, games, play along on the keyboard. You'll find all kinds
of musical things to do here.

This site is really easy to use and could be used by even younger students.
The audio samples play without any difficulty. For older students, the
information on how the instrument is played is excellent.

NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC - This site has a game room, an instrument lab, a
musicians' lounge, a composition workshop and a composers gallery. Students
as young as second grade would enjoy this site.
