2006 CEF Grant: Hand-in-Hand Science and math go Hand-in-Hand just like reading and writing. Thanks to the Carroll Education Foundation, we were able to purchase dictionaries, math and science nonfiction and fiction books, and writing guides for our campus. Science lab teachers and reading specialists across CISD were trained in writing similar grants for their campuses.

Hand-in-Hand CEF Grant Summary

The Year of...Science for Inquiring Minds
CISD elementary school principals asked the science lab teachers to create a
presentation highlighting valued aspects of the elementary sciencelabs.  
The Year of Science for Inquiring Minds was shared at the February,
2007, School Board Meeting.

2005 CEF Grant:  Making Connections in Science Through Literacy
This multi media presentation leads you through the journey of receiving the
science nonfiction leveled books, how they were processed and distributed to
how teachers and students used them in the various classrooms.
