A Gentle Reminder
When viewing your grades in Family Access, please remember that an asterisk means simply that the grades have not been entered yet. It does not mean that you are missing an assignment. If you are missing an assignment, it will show a zero.

Writing/Grammar:
The study of grammar is cumulative and ongoing. We will study grammar as it relates to our syntax and writing skills. Using a writers' workshop format, this year we will emphasize writing with the objective of preparing our sixth graders for the sophisticated, comprehensive writing tasks they will face in grades 7-12.
Reading:
We have begun the Battle of the Books. Your student should have give you an information letter and a BOB Contract to sign. This is to ensure that everyone is well aware of the requirements for this six weeks. Please contact me if you have any questions.
