<DIV>The study of grammar is cumulative and ongoing. We will study grammar as it relates to our syntax and writing skills. Using a writers' workshop format, this year we will emphasize writing with the objective of preparing our sixth graders for the sophisticated, comprehensive writing tasks they will face in grades 7-12.<BR></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><U>Reading:<BR></U></STRONG>We have begun the Battle of the Books. Your student should have give you an information letter and a BOB Contract to sign. This is to ensure that everyone is well aware of the requirements for this six weeks.
