Physical Education
My
name is Patty (Timm) Bullock. I am the Physical Education teacher at
Eubanks. I am originally from
California
and have lived in this area for 17 years. Receiving my teaching certificate
later in life, I began teaching 6th grade Math and Science when Durham
Intermediate opened. After two years in the classroom, I was able to
transition to my true passion, Physical Education. I have taught PE for 7
years and look forward to year 8 with the same enthusiasm as when I began. I
know that I am extremely fortunate to be part of this school, the
administration, faculty, parents and most of all the students who make up
Eubanks Intermediate.

Lucy Drenka: I was born and
raised in the
Chicago
area. I graduated from
Northeastern
Illinois
University
with a BA in Elementary Education. I taught in the parochial school system
for eight years and completed my MA in Library and Information Science at
Dominican
University in
River Forest,
Illinois
. I was the Children’s Librarian at Bensenville Public Library until our
transfer to
Marietta,
Georgia
in 1989. After our move to Southlake, I joined CISD as a librarian at the
Durham Intermediate Library in 1997. It was a great privilege to open the
beautiful library at Eubanks in 2001. I am delighted to begin my ninth year
at CISD and my sixth year at Eubanks. It is an honor and a joy to work with
our wonderful students, parents, and teachers. One of my favorite quotations
states, “When books are opened, you will discover that you have wings.” It is
my hope that together, we will soar!
Art
My
name is Lizzie Amick and I am thrilled to be the Art teacher here at Eubanks.
I graduated from the
University of
North Texas
with a BA in Art. I have been teaching art since 2002 and have been with
Carroll ISD since 2006. As an artist, I enjoy oil painting, abstract and
modern art, and lithography printmaking. Teaching art is my true passion and
I enjoy sharing that with the wonderful students here at Eubanks!
Music
Hi!
I’m Megan Von Dreau and I’m so lucky to be teaching general music at Eubanks
this year. I began in Carroll as a private lesson instructor for
percussionists in 2000. This fall marks my seventh year as a district
employee. I have two degrees in percussion performance. My undergraduate
work was completed at the
University of
Colorado and my masters’
degree is from the
University of
Oklahoma
. My specialty is marimba, but I can play anything that you hit with a
stick. I’ve played in wind ensembles, orchestras, percussion ensembles, steel
drum bands, marching band and drum corps. I'm currently a percussionist with
the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. I grew up in
Colorado,
Wyoming and
New Mexico
.
Band
Hello!
My name is Eric Guerrero. I have the honor of teaching the French horn and
trumpet classes here at Eubanks. I will also be conducting the EIS band this
year. This is my sixth year in the Carroll district and my 5th year at EIS.
I was born in Garden City,
Kansas but migrated to
Texas 11 years ago to
attend college at the
University of
North Texas
. I have traveled all around the world (literally) thanks to my trumpet. I
have worked on cruises that have traveled to
Mexico,
Grand Cayman,
Jamaica,
St. Thomas, Puerto Rico,
and the
Bahamas
. I also spent a month in China (Quingdao) playing at a theme park similar to
Disney Land and have also toured Scandinavia with the UNT One O’ Clock Lab
Band. I also teach the Wind Ensemble, jazz bands and assist with the Wind
Symphony and Symphonic Band at
Dawson
Middle School
.
Hello. My name is David Stone. I am in
my 19th year at CISD. I have taught at the high school level,
middle school level, and also the intermediate. I am currently the Director
of Bands at
Dawson
Middle School
and teach the low brass, trombone, and clarinet classes at Eubanks. I have a
single digit (3) handicap in golf and I am an avid reader.
Ken Johnson is in his 7th year of
teaching in CISD and his 8th year of teaching in
Texas
. Born in
Dallas, Mr. Johnson
received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from the
University of
Texas at Austin and his
Bachelor of Music Teaching Certificate from the
University of
Texas at
Arlington
. During his tenure in CISD, he has assisted at CSHS, CHS, CJHS, DIS, and EIS.
Currently at CHS/CSHS, Mr. Johnson directs the Symphonic Band, assists with
Dragon Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, and is the Director
of Percussion Studies. At EIS, he teaches 6th grade beginning percussion.
(Each year the high school percussion department has grown in size, and
currently has 50 members in the Dragon Drumline - possibly the largest in
Texas
!)
Technology/Study Skills
I am
Health/Science Extension
My name is Cindy Reinhart
and looking forward to another year here at Eubanks. I have been at EIS since
the school opened, so I know many of our Eubanks families and am looking
forward to meeting the rest. We will be doing lots of interesting things in
health this year – learning about how our bodies work and what choices we can
make to help them work at their best. I’m a native Texan (born in
College Station!) who
grew up in the
Seattle
area. I went to
Washington
State
University
where I majored in Geology both as an undergrad and in graduate school.
Quest
Hi! I’m Julie McMurrey and I am the Quest
teacher for the 5th and 6th grade at Eubanks. I grew up in San Antonio and
graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. I previously
taught in Keller ISD before coming to teach at Eubanks. My teaching
certificate includes a Gifted and Talented Certification. I have two children
who have been part of Carroll ISD and Southlake since moving here thirteen
years ago. I love the Dragon traditions and am truly happy to be part of the
Eubanks team and working with your wonderful children!
