The 6th grade is studying advertising and how mass media influences the
choices that we make and on our self-image. They will be inventing a product
and designing an advertising campaign to convince us to buy it.
Fifth grade is finishing learning about our brains and nervous systems. With
knowledge about how our brains work, hopefully our next unit (on drugs and
alcohol) will make more sense and they can see how someone can become addicted
to a drug.
