Mr. Benfield graduated from Texas State University with a BA in English, and
is certified in the following areas: Language Arts 4 - 8, Language Arts
8 - 12, Generalist 4 - 8 and ESL 4 - 12.
Mr. Benfield has a wife, and 2 sons--a 3 year old and an 8 month old--hence
the gallons of coffee consumed daily.
When he isn't teaching, he performs locally as a professional musician,
playing the Hammond organ in a group named McLemore Avenue
(www.mclemoreavenue.com).
His favorite drink is coffee and his favorite food also happens to be coffee.
Currently, his favorite TV shows are Fringe, Lost, and The Colony.
His role model is Severus Snape, so watch out.
