I began working for Round Rock ISD in April, 1982. While my children
were young, I substituted across RRISD in kindergarten through grade
twelve, Art, Music, P.E., and Special Education. I
taught fourth grade at Great Oaks for seven years (1997-2004), one
year of fourth grade at Fern Bluff (2005-2006), and three years of
fifth grade at Fern Bluff(2006-2009). Before
moving to Texas, I worked for the Arlington County, Virginia Public
Schools (1972-1981) in first through sixth grades and Special
Education.
I have three children (two boys and a girl) and
three step-children (two boys and a girl). All six have
completed college, and five have advanced degrees.
Leigh Anne is an assistant professor and canine genetic researcher at
Clemson University in South Carolina.
Adriane teaches at the Texas School for the
Deaf in Austin.
James works for HEB at the
corporate headquarters in San Antonio.
William works for Follett in Austin, Chicago, and Boston.
Aaron teaches art in Georgetown ISD. His wife, Amber, teaches art
at Lake Travis High School.
Justin and his wife, Jenny, work in
retail jewelry.
I also have two wonderful four-year-old granddaughters, Ryleigh Anne and
Autumn Elaine. Grandson Gunnar is a year and a half, and his baby sister,
Lilian (Lily) is due in October 2009.
