It's December!!! WOW, what a busy time it was in November. Here are just a few things we learned: -sparkle words or adjectives to add detail to our writing -reading and spelling r and s blends -patterns on a 100 chart, odd and even, skip counting from any number by any number -Historical events, timelines, Thanksgiving We will begin our study of cultures and holiday tradions this week. We will travel from class to class as we visit different countries and learn about a variety of holidays. It's not too late to send your Flat Stanley. He still continues to return. This week he returned from Korea and even traveled to several states with an airline pilot. Some importants dates this month: Scholastic Book Fair begins Dec. 1 and runs through Fri. Dec. 4. Wed., Dec. 9th is Early Realeas Day and teachers will be planning and attending training Fri- Dec. 18 is our last day for this first semester. We will have our Winter holiday party from 1:30-2:30. This year we plan to have a Polar Express theme. We will read the story, watch the movie, have a "read in", and in the afternoon enjoy games and treats. All of this wearing our favorite cozy PJ's.
