Just a reminder to Please please send in the End of the Year Party consent forms as
well as the Important Book information on your child. I will feel very very sad if i
cannot put everyone in this keepsake book. It is a treasure that they will enjoy
always...so please take a few minutes to complete it, make sure it is in your child's
backpack for tomorrow. For those of you who have completed the forms and sent them

Okay I am sure you are all wondering what is going on with Ms. H.!!! we have not
received any conference forms or schedules! Well, I've been working on trying to set-
up an online sign-up for conferences and Hallelujah! I've done it!!! So there is a
link to conference sign-up that you can go into and then click on the time you would
like to set it up for.
Also I will be emailing the conference forms for discussion tomorrow. It will have
the goals that we set for your child at the beginning of the year. Please add your
comments and EMAIL them back to me.
All library books are due on Friday, May 8th. I reminded the children to bring them
in tomorrow as it is our scheduled library day.
Final update, we received confirmation that BOBCAT BASH IS ON for FRIDAY, MAY 8th -
same time. So for all of you who signed up please get in touch with Michelle, our
homeroom mum, and confirm that all is on schedule! Thanks so much for all your help,

Just a quick reminder that we are collecting items for our Bobcat Bash silent auction
basket.
The theme is Crayola Fun for Girls. We are collecting till Friday, May 1st if you
would like to
donate something. For those of you who are extremely busy or prefer the convenience
of someone
else purchasing an item for our basket please feel free to send in the money and an
item will be
purchased on your behalf to add to the basket.
We are also in dire need of volunteers for the Bobcat Bash. So far we only have one
parent.
Our booth is "Hair Painting" which the children really enjoy. If we are unable to
have enough
volunteers we may not be able to have it. We only require 30 min slots so any help
would be
greatly appreciated.

Just a quick reminder that our field trip is tomorrow! We will be leaving the school
at 9:30
for the Austin Zoo. There is a letter and directions to the zoo for those parents who
signed up
to join in. PLEASE make sure that your child has applied sunscreen prior to coming to
school,
has a hat (if possible), wears their Fern Bluff T-shirt (if they have one), brings a
sack lunch
with everything disposable and labeled with their name, brings a separate snack sack
with
everything labeled.
I am not sure who is bringing a cooler for the lunches and snacks but if you could
email me and
let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for making this a fun
trip by
ensuring that all the requirements are met! Have a wonderful evening!

Just wanted to remind everyone that the kids are going to be presenting a small play
and then
showing their rainforest projects. Many were concerned that parents did not know, so I
am
sending this out as a reminder to the note that went home in Tuesday folders earlier
this week!

and Lysol disinfectant spray for our classroom and would REALLY REALLY appreciate
some; we will
gladly accept all donations of said items! It helps a little at keeping those pesky
germs at
bay.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are having a pajama party tomorrow! The
class has
earned 10 links and so i had promised them that we would have a pajama party when that
happened!
Needless to say it should be interesting considering some of the children felt they
could crawl
out of bed, not have to brush teeth or shower!!! I told them that brushing teeth and
general
hygeine were non-negotiable items!!!! The children must wear their tennis shoes to
school but
are welcome to bring house slippers for indoor wear. They may also wear a gown if
they want.
Girls also must wear pajamas NO nighties! Thanks so much! Our Valentine's party is
from 1:00
to 2:00 in our classroom.

Good morning friends-
I know we are all at the end of our ropes with the busy holiday events of the week,
but there
are some people in our community that have desparate needs. Cindy Barry over at PHS
was telling
me about several homeless kids over at her school that have no clothes and are
freezing in this
weather. If anyone has used mens jeans, coats of any size (mostly adult sizes), or
baby socks
(infant to 3 years for the baby siblings of these kids) that you have laying around at
home
please bring them to school otomorrow and I will get them to the high school.
Thank you for all that you do for our kids and to help each other. I am truly blessed
to be in
this job working with you all. Nurse Betty is at home sick today , FYI-

Just a reminder that all books for book exchange need to be in by tomorrow so we can
have the
book exchange prior to our party on Friday. If you have not sent in a book yet all we
request
is that be a book appropriate for the same gender as your child and not to exceed
$5.00. I am
also needing photographs so that the children can complete their surprise project, if
you have
not sent in the photographs please do so tomorrow as it is our last day to work on
them. I
thank you in advance for taking the time to get these items for your child. We have
our
Christmas party on Friday from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. with activities set up. We hope to

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. Just a
reminder
that we are going to be on our Field Trip tomorrow. Please read the note that i sent
home with
your child on the details for the day. The main directions for tomorrow are as
follows:
- sack lunch with everything disposable - please WRITE your child's name on lunch and
drink
bottles
- pack an extra snack and drink with your child's name on it and keep separate from
their lunch
- wear TENNIS shoes - they will be hiking in a cave and the floors can be damp
- send your child with a JACKET (make sure their name is on it)
- if your child would like to buy a souvenir from the gift shop please send money in
an envelope
that is labeled with their name on it - do not send more than $5.00
Our schedule :
9:15 Get on buses
9:30 - 11:00 play at Cat Hollow Park on playscape and eat early picnic lunch
11:00 - 11:25 travel time to cave
11:25 - 12:15 prepare for tours and restroom break
12:15 - 1:30 class tour begins
1:45 load buses and return to Fern Bluff

The cafeteria sent a notice requesting that all lunch dues be taken care of tomorrow.
If your
child is needing lunch money they should be coming home with a reminder stamp on their
arm!
Thanks so much to all of you who were able to make it to our programme this morning -
it was
indeed a pleasure to see you all and have you here. Tomorrow is my birthday and i
would like to
bring cupcakes to celebrate as i have had 20 requests to do so!!!! If you would
prefer that
your child not have one please let me know. The children have all asked me how old i
will be
turning and when i state that i will be 47 tomorrow - i have the same reaction as
their faces at
the end of our Albuquerque song today! ; O !!!!! Needless to say that had to point
out how i
was older than their parents!!!! Enjoy that one!!! Have a great day and don't forget
to laugh
and smile!

Picture re-takes will be done on the same day as the Holiday pictures. The envelope
to order
Holiday pictures comes home today in the Tuesday folders. Also, OLSAT results for
your child
are in the Tuesday folders. Thanks to all for a timely submission of Field trip

Finally, our Thanksgiving lunch will be this Thursday, November 20th. Our lunch hour
is
designated for 12:40 - 1:10. Please remember, as we have the pleasure of family
members joining
their children/grand-children for lunch, the lines do take some time. We appreciate
