Announcements for Nov. 9-13

 

*Thank you for all the help with 50s Day.  It was  a huge success!!  Check out the pictures on the blog.

 

*Don't forget that this Wednesday, November 11th will be an early release day.  School will dismiss at 12:45.

 

*Mrs. Davis will be subbing for me on Thursday, Nov. 12th.  I will be at Fern Bluff but in a training all day.

 

*FBE Direct Donation Drive ends on Nov. 13th. 

 

*Friday, November 13th will be pajama day!  On Election Day (Nov. 3rd) students voted on a Kindergarten Spirit Day.  Each student visited our Kinder Voting Booth to cast his/her ballot.  Choices included PJ Day, Crazy Hat Day, or Silly Sock Day.  After all the votes were counted, PJ Day won.  Please remember the following about PJ Day:

-PJs should be appropriate for the weather outside as we will still be going outside for Recess and PE.

-If girls wear gowns they must wear shorts or tights underneath.

-Students may wear slippers but need to bring tennis shoes for recess and PE.

-Please no pillows, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, etc.

 

*It seems that my due date is quickly approaching (whether I am ready or not).  While I am gone, Mrs. Davis will have access to my email address so please feel free to email her with questions and/or comments just like you do with me.  If you have questions/concerns that you would like to keep more private, you may use the following email address to contact me:  mrs.thibodaux@gmail.com.  I will check it frequently and try to reply in a timely fashion.  Please feel free to contact me if you need me.  I am not going to "disappear" for 2 months.  I plan to still be very involved in the class as I will be in constant communication with Mrs. Davis. 

 

*Mark your calendars for the following dates:

-Nov. 19th Fern Bluff Thanksgiving Lunch; all families are invited to join us for a special lunch in the cafeteria.  Our lunch (brunch) will begin at 10:18 that day.  If you plan to purchase a lunch from the cafeteria, please order ahead of time and bring cash for your meal on the 19th.  Parents and siblings will not be allowed to buy lunch using your Kindergartener's lunch account, you will have to pay separately.

 

-Dec.10th Kindergarten Field Trip; We will be headed to Zachary Scott Theater in Austin then to a park for lunch and play time.  Due to the limited number of seats in the theater, parents are not invited to the show (so sorry!); however, parents and siblings are welcome to meet us at the park afterward for a picnic lunch.  More details will be coming home soon.  Students will not need to pay for this field trip; a small fee may apply to the field trip in the spring.

 

-Dec. 18th Class Holiday Party at 11:15.  Students will be celebrating the holidays with games, crafts, snacks and stories during the party.  Parents are welcome to join us for the fun.  Due to the limited number of supplies and space, we ask that siblings not attend the party.  If you would like to help out with the party, please email Mrs. Hile.
