Announcements for Nov. 23-27
*We do have school this coming Monday and Tuesday, November 23rd & 24th. We will be out of school Wednesday-Friday. Happy Thanksgiving!
*Classroom Needs: If you would like to donate something to our classroom, these are our biggest needs right now. . . cheap, plain kitchen sponges, Elmer's Glue, construction paper for our art station, quart and gallon ziplock bags. Thank you!
*Behavior: As the holidays grow near, behavior is always the first to go. Please help me and Mrs. Davis by reminding your child about classroom/school expectations. Thank you so much for your support!
*We will not be checking out books in the library for the next two weeks due to the upcoming Book Fair. See Fern Bluff's homepage for more information about the book fair.
*Blog: I was very excited to try out our new Flip Cams at school. Last week I recorded each student's thoughts about Thanksgiving and learned how to put the clips together to make a short movie. After finishing the project and putting it on our class blog, I realized I had left out three video clips. I am working on correcting the problem but I am not sure how to fix it. If your child's clip does not appear, I am SO very sorry. I will be using the flip cam more as the year goes on and hopefully perfecting my skills.
Reminders:
-Don't forget that you can reach me at
mrs.thibodaux@gmail.com while I am gone.
-Dec.10th Kindergarten Field Trip; We will be headed to Zachary Scott Theater in Austin then to a park for lunch and play time. Due to the limited number of seats in the theater, parents are not invited to the show (so sorry!); however, parents and siblings are welcome to meet us at the park afterward for a picnic lunch. More details will be coming home soon. Students will not need to pay for this field trip; a small fee may apply to the field trip in the spring.
-Dec. 18th Class Holiday Party at 11:15. Students will be celebrating the holidays with games, crafts, snacks and stories during the party. Parents are welcome to join us for the fun. Due to the limited number of supplies and space, we ask that siblings not attend the party. If you would like to help out with the party, please email Mrs. Hile.
Have a wonderful week!
