TALENT SHOW The 4th Annual PTA Sponsored Talent Show needs your help!  
Parents interested in assisting with auditions, decorating, backstage prep, 
or sound should contact Amy York at amyrobertsyork@gmail.com, or 731-8988. 
The Talent Show will be held January 26th (K-2) and January 28th (3-5) with 
auditions (for length and content) the week of January 11th. 
 
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION & SOCIAL HOUR Plan to join fellow PTA volunteers for a 
bit of holiday cheer on Thursday, December 17th from 9-10 AM in the cafeteria!
 
FROM THE ADMINISTRATION It seems the new sun shades on the playground that 
were just replaced two weeks ago, to the tune of $2300.00 have slits cut in 
them again. This probably happened over the Thanksgiving break. Both the 
district and the sheriff have been notified, but there is really nothing that 
can be done. We will keep them up as long as they don't look shabby; but when 
they do, the district will remove them.

SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE  A Community Meeting with Dr. Jesús Chávez will be held 
Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Pluckers, 300 Mays Crossing in Round 
Rock. This is for community members to meet Dr. Chávez and discuss current 
and future goals for RRISD as well as address any questions they might have. 
Light refreshments will be available. Please RSVP by 10 a.m. on Dec. 8 via e-
mail to community_relations@roundrockisd.org or by phone at 512-464-5113.
 
RRISD FLU CLINIC for H1N1 & Seasonal The RRISD Health Services Department 
will be offering both a seasonal FluMist and a H1N1 FluMist and flu shot 
Clinic on Monday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. at the RRISD Performing Arts Center, 5800 
McNeil Rd. in  Austin. RRISD families will be allowed to line-up for the 
vaccine beginning at 3 p.m. The vaccine will be available on a first-come, 
first-serve basis and the Clinic will close once all doses have been

GIVING TREES Stop by the Giving Trees in the main hallway and choose 
an "ornament" donation to send in to the Front Office.

LOVE AND LOGIC There are  two copies of the book, Parenting with Love and 
Logic, and DVDs available for loan in the Parent Resource Center.

TARDIES Your child must be in their seat in class when the tardy bell rings 
at 7:45 am. There is staff on duty at 7:15am if you would like to drop off 
your child early and the doors are open beginning at 7:30am.  Please expect a 
phone call from the school if your child accrues more than 7 tardies.

LETTERS TO SANTA The Round Rock Leader is seeking letters to Santa Claus from 
the children of the Round Rock area. They will publish the letters in the 
three editions prior to Christmas on December 17, 19 and 22. Bring letters to 
the Round Rock Public Library, email it to the Leader at editor@rrleader.com, 
or mail your letters to the Round Rock Leader, Mays Street, Round Rock, Texas 
78664, ATTN: SANTA. The deadline is December 13.  All letters received will 
be forwarded to Santa!What's coming up on our agenda:
