Students utilize the internet through pre-approved, bookmarked sites in a
staff supervised setting. The Round Rock Independent School District has
subscribed to a vast array of educationally acclaimed databases and on-line
encyclopedias exclusively for Round Rock students and staff. Families have
remote access to these databases. The id's and passwords for remote access
are available from your librarian. See the library resources page to view
the databases. Teachers may also preview appropriate sites and make them
available to students on their grade level resource page. Students are not
allowed to type in addresses (url's) directly! They are also instructed not
to search WIKIPEDIA for reliable research information as that is an
interactive site and anyone can enter information which may not be accurate.
Our goal is to teach students to be efficient and discerning users of
information.
