Welcome to the Fern Bluff Library! I am delighted to help you search for
many adventures and information in the library this year. Sharing your
impressions and reactions to books and information is something I look
forward to. We will be "exploring" together!
I began my teaching career in England in 1975, where I taught 3rd grade in
Surrey for a private American School. I continued teaching first grade upon
my return to the States in the Austin Independent School District.
Later I decided to become a Librarian! I have been a librarian in Round
Rock ISD for over 25 years! I still love it. Every day is different and
there is always something new for ME to learn (and teach)!!!!
EDUCATION:
I attended The United States International University in Sussex, England for
2 years. I graduated from Arizona State University with my Education Degree.
Later, I decided to become a librarian and received my Masters in Libraries
and Information Science from The University of Texas.
ABOUT ME:
I have two incredibly awesome daughters and two super sons-in law! I just
became a proud grandmother this year!
I acted in high school and college theaters,
rode a camel in the Sahara Desert and
led students on a field trip to Morroco in North Africa...
I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, meditation, theater, film,
festivals and attending cultural events.
I especially love getting to BUY books for
the school ;-) and reading!
