About The Teacher
I am so excited to be apart of third grade again this year!! Just in case you're interested...here's a few things about myself. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland where I was raised to love two teams - The Orioles and whoever beats the Yankees! My family moved to Texas when I was in the seventh grade. I graduated from Kingwood High School near Houston. After graduation, I went to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education specializing in Reading. I taught third and fourth grades in Waco for five years before moving to Austin. This is now my fifth year teaching third grade at Fern Bluff. I love to read and write, spend time with my family, fish, watch or play baseball, and lay around on the beach! My husband's name is Bob and we have two beautiful boys : Camden(named after Camden Yards – the Baltimore Orioles' ballpark!) who is six in Mrs. Schrott's class here at Fern Bluff. And Braden our curious, precious baby who is now 2 1/2 years old.

I have a deep passion to work with students. I take great pride in the fact that I make a differencein a child's life giving them the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies he or she will need in order to successfully meet the challenges of the future. I strive to ensure that my students get the most out of my classroom by stretching their minds and giving them the opportunity to explore different techniques in learning.
