Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to be working with your child this
year. Kindergarten in a special year filled with discovery, excitement and
lots of learning. Be assured that I will do my best to make this school
year an enjoyable time for your child. I am looking forward to learning all
about your child and believe me, they will tell me all about you as well.
So, here is a little about me...
This is my fifth year at Fern Bluff. Prior to coming back to teaching, I
was a stay at home mom for 11 years and loved every minute of it. I grew up
in Plano, Texas. I graduated from Texas Tech in 1994 with a B.S. in
Elementary Education and a minor in Math. I met my husband, Travis, in
college. He was a professional baseball player for 16 years and has now
made the transition over to coaching. He is currently a coach with the
Houston Astros in their minor league system. We have played all over the
United States and in several foreign countries. We have 2 boys, Tyler in
4th grade and Tanner in 8th grade and Lilly, the cutest mini. schnauzer
in the world! We live in the neighborhood and might run in to you at the
pool or grocery store. In my off time I become a taxi driver, delivering
kids to all their sports practices and games. On the occasion I find some
free time, I love to shop, read, and take pictures.
My goal this year is to make Kindergarten an amazing experience for your
child. Let's become partners in your child's education. I hope we can work
together to give your child the best education possible!
