*Please read at least 20 minutes daily with your student and record the 
minutes on the homework tracker.  In addition to reading, your child is also 
responsible for completing the weekly spelling and math practice.  
Students should be able to complete these assignments independently.  
If your student struggles with a particular assignment, let me know so we
can review it in class.  Occasionally special assignments will be given and will
be recorded on your student's homework tracker.

It is your child's responsibility to return his/her red homework 
folder and the completed homework each Friday.  Students will be held 
accountable for having their folder and their completed homework each week.  
Failure to return completed homework on a regular basis will be reflected in 
the report card.  If you feel your child needs additional time to complete 
homework due to illness or other special circumstances, please notify me 
prior to 7:45 Friday morning.

*Folder Schedule:
Homework Folders go home on Monday; Return on Friday.
Tuesday Folders go home on Tuesday; Return on Wednesday.
Behavior and Poetry Folders go home on Friday; Return on Monday.
