<div align="left">Mark your calendars!  First graders are invited to perform in an optional <span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99cc00">holiday musical </span>on Monday, December 14th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.  They have been preparing for this for several weeks in music class.  It should be cute!  I will definitely be in attendance enjoying the festivities. <span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff00">Please have your child at the school by 6:15 if you wish for him/her to participate. </span> This performance is being directed by the Fern Bluff music teachers. I believe more details were posted in the FBE e-news.  If you have further questions, please contact our music teacher Ms. Starke at 428- 2174 or Mrs. Anderson at 428-2112. <br />

<span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99cc00">Wednesday, December 9 is an early release day </span>so that teachers can attend various workshops.  Students will be released at 12:45. </div>

<div align="left">I will be at a conference all day on Thursday, December 10.  Miss Weaver will by my sub.   <br />

<span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99cc00">Friday, December 11 is Miss Weaver's last day </span>of student teaching.  We will celebrate her accomplishments with a special treat and a surprise send off at 2:15.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  <br />

<span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99cc00">Friday, December 18th </span>is our last day of school for the semester.  We will have a <em><span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99cc00"><em>Polar Express</em> themed party</span></em>.  We will read the book on Thursday and then watch the movie on Friday morning. In the afternoon we will play games and have special winter treats.  <span style="background-color: #99cc00; "><span style="background-color: #99cc00; ">We will also wear our favorite pajamas!</span></span> In the coming weeks, I will send home more information about how you can help!  You can also join us for the fun from 1:30-2:30.<br />
