Newsflash

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I had several children bring in their bookorder forms and the cover letter this morning saying that they were ordering books.  Some of the orders had books circled, however, none of them had names, order forms filled out or payment included.  Therefore, I would just like to clarify; if you are ordering online then no forms or any other paperwork needs to be sent back.  If you are ordering via cheque then you send the order form for each club (i.e. SeeSaw, Click etc.) filled out with your child's name on top, the books marked in on the form and a cheque for the total amount.  I hope this clarifies it.

Also, as the temperature seems to finally have changed to cool Autumn, please ensure that your child has a jacket with them.  Thank you and have a wonderful Tuesday afternoon!

Please keep the following in mind: The children are to wear their Yellow Kindergarten t-shirts, comfortable pants/shorts (depending on the temperature), Shoes  (no sandals, crocs or water shoes).  As per our request a few weeks ago, we feel that it would be best for the children to Not wear any costumes as it is difficult to use the bathroom as well as for safety concerns in the different activities.

Menu: Hamburger or Veggie Burger, Potato Smiles, Lettuce , Pickles, Blue Bell Ice Cream Cups, Milk .

Just wanted to let you know that there are quite a few forms in our Tuesday folder today.  Some of you might have the Ethnicity forms in your child's folder.  If you do it is because either Part 1 or Part 2 was not checked off, please complete this and return it in the folder tomorrow.

I have enclosed our first Scholastic book order form.

There are two Highlights order forms.  Please sign and return as we can earn rewards for our classroom.  The rewards are based on forms being signed and returned and not from orders placed.  Thank you for taking the time to do this.

ALERT:  There have been confirmed cases of the Flu in my class.  If your child is feeling even slightly sick or just not themself please do keep them at home.  We have had more than half the class gone all week and it would be in the class' best interest if everyone who was not well stayed home and recovered fully before returning.  I will be reteaching EVERYTHING next week to ensure that all the children are able to learn and participate fully.  Take care of yourselves and each other.

ALERT:  There is some sort of virus going around on campus that is affecting alot of our children.  Some of the symptoms are fever, runny nose, congestion.  I have more than half my class home today with fever.  If your child is not well please do keep them at home so that we can prevent the spread of it.  We are taking preventative measures here by ensuring diligence in hand washing, wiping desks down with clorox etc.

For those of you who are already sick, please know that we are thinking of you and missing you.  Take care.  Big hugs....Ms. Moloo
