About The Teacher
Hi-My name is Mary Lu Layton and I teach 2nd grade at Fern Bluff Elementary. I am also a wife to Hunter, and Mom to three children Hunter, Connor, and Ashley. We are orginally from Oklahoma where I taught for 21 years, and have been in Texas and taught 2nd grade for 13 years. Second graders are a great age and I really enjoy them! Being a teacher and a mom, I know how important home/school communication is and what an important role it plays in your child's success. It is very important to me that you know that I can be contacted at any time with questions, concerns, celebrations, etc. concerning your child. I know we will have a great partnership this year!
