Welcome to my web page!
I have been an educator for 19 years now. I began my teaching career in
Lubbock, Texas where I spent my first three years teaching 1st, 2nd and 5th
grades (after graduating from Texas Tech). I then taught 4th grade for
three years in Okinawa, Japan. I have now been teaching at Fern Bluff
Elementary for the last 13 years. During that time I taught TAG for six
years and am going on my 7th year teaching 4th grade.
My minor in college was Math and I have always enjoyed teaching it, but
having been a 4th grade teacher for the last 7 years, I have found a love
for writing. I also love sharing my interest in children's literature with
my students (and any other kids that will listen). My goal above all else is
to make learning fun for my students and to help foster life-long learners.
My husband, Landon, and I have been married for 17 years. We have three
boys. Kyle is a junior at Round Rock High School, Caleb is a 8th grader
at Chisholm Trail Middle School and Cameron is presently in Mrs. Ormesher's
5th grade class here at Fern Bluff.
I am very excited about this school year. We have a wonderful 4th grade
team and I have a wonderful class!
