Are you married, and do you have any kids?
Yes and yes! My husband Jacob is a small business owner and
volunteer
firefighter. I have an 8-year-old stepson, Jared, a 5-year-old
son named
Caleb, and a baby boy, Noah, who just turned one.
Do you have any pets?
Yes. I have a 10 year old Miniature Schnauzer named Charlie who
lives with my
parents in Abilene, and we just got a new little Italian
Greyhound named Two-Face.
What is your favorite book for kids?
That is hard to say! I really like the Series of Unfortunate
Events, but my
single favorite book changes from year to year. I love to read
the Bluebonnet
Award nominees.
What do you like to do when you are not teaching school?
I love to spend time with my family, travel, go to the movies,
read books, shop at Target, sew, and look at the stars with my
telescope.
