I am one of the few to be born and raised in Austin, Texas. I graduated
from Texas State University (formerly known as Southwest Texas) with a
bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Early
Childhood. In addition, I have a certification in ESL (English as a Second
Language). My student teaching was completed at Fern Bluff Elementary and
luckily I was hired! This will be my eleventh year to teach and fortunately
enough, I have taught all eleven years in kindergarten at Fern Bluff.
I am married to the love of my life, Tim, who is an Austin firefighter. We
have a sweet little girl, Kallie, born April 25, 2008. We are loving every
minute with her as parents. We're also blessed to be expecting another
little girl in March. I love to read and do yoga/pilates, and thanks
to my outdoor loving husband, I have learned to rock climb and love the
outdoors too.
