THANK YOU FOR ALL THE VOLUNTEERS THAT HELPED MAKE FIELD DAY A SUCCESS!!!!

Students, please have a safe and summer full of lots of activity!!!
Remember to be safe around the water and on your bikes!!!!

We will be looking for volunteers to help with Running Club!  Parents will 
help stamp the student's arms and help record laps at 3:15!!  All you have to 
do is show up on Mondays starting October 17!!

IMPORTANT STUFF TO REMEMBER FOR P.E. CLASS:

In Order to keep every child SAFE and to experience a rewarding time in 
P.E., do your best at helping your child to remember the following:

1.    ONLY TENNIS/RUNNING SHOES ARE ALLOWED FOR P.E.CLASS.
      The shoes must cover the entire foot - this includes the heel also. 
      ANY other type of shoe is not acceptable and your child will not 
      participate in class that day.

2.  Please SEND A NOTE whenever your child is unable to participate because 
    of medical or other reasons.

3. Ask your child what they did in P.E. that day and if you are able to 
   get involved and excercise with your child.

4. Encourage your child to drink lots of water and juices and to eat healthy 
   foods and snacks.

We will continue the Fitnessgram for 3-5 graders.  We will test during the 
fall and spring.  There is no pass/fail on this assessment.  We administer 
the Fitnessgram so students know if they are in the Healthy Fitness Zone or 
need to work to get there.  We have a Fitnessgram link on the LINKS page for 
parents if you want more information.
