About The Teacher

I was born and raised in Friendswood and received all of my public
education in FISD. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in
December of 2006 (WHOOP!) and began teaching at Cline, the elementary school
I attended myself,
in January 2007.
While attending Texas A&M, I was involved in many organizations including
Delta Delta Delta sorority, CARPOOL, HOSTS, Big Event, Golden Key International
Honor Society, and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. While enrolled in my
methods semester, my peers and I had the privilege of creating and
publishing Reading TAKS questions for other school districts in Texas to
use.
This will be my second full year teaching third grade, and I am very
excited to have the opportunity to have your child in my class. This is
going to be an exciting and rewarding year for not only your child, but also
for myself; I know each of your children offers unique talents and skills
that will make our class a great place to learn and grow!

Mission For The Class

My goal for the class is to provide a nurturing learning environment that
fits the individual needs of every student. Students will be held
accountable for his or her actions, and will also be held to the
highest expectations of succeeding in the classroom. I will work hard with
each student to improve his or her knowledge in Social Studies and Science,
help expand their use of oral language, and help establish a love for
creative writing. I believe that open communication is important, so if you
need to reach me after school hours please feel free to email me at
amy.m.richardson@gmail.com. I check my email frequently, so I will email
you back as quickly as possible.
