Here's a great link to a website for reading. Joan Carris holds a masters in
children's literature and currently teaches at Duke University in Durham, NC.
I highly recommend it as a source of books for reading. She groups reading
according to age and ability and has great, little reviews with each book

Our schedule rotates every six days this year: We have P.E. every other day, so
some weeks we have it three times, the next week two times. To make sure your
child has tennis shoes on P.E. day, it is okay to have a spare pair in his or
her backpack.
Our Library time is Wednesday morning. Mrs. Knight likes for books to be
returned by 8:00 a.m. on Library day so that she can process them in
time for our visit. They're easy to drop into the book drop box outside
the Library. The children know where this is.
Lunch is from 11:02-11:32 every day for our class. If you would like to eat
lunch with your child, just check in at the office for a visitor's badge, then
wait for us outside the cafeteria. We'll be along soon.
My conference schedule is kept by Jodie in the office. Tuesday and
Thursday I'm available before school in order to accomodate those of
you with busy workday schedules. Regular conference times are at
1:40 Monday through Thursday. Conferences can be scheduled by
calling the office at 281-482-1201 and talking to Jodie or by sending me an
email.
