Math homework will usually be a workbook page on Wednesday and/or Thursday night. This
assignment goes with our lesson of the day plus has a great review section at the bottom. The
homework should not take more that 10-30 minutes to complete. If some questions are challenging, it
is okay for you to assist your student in answering the questions. Please check over your child's work
when they are done. On nights that they do not have a workbook page for homework, it is a great time
to work on all math facts or play a fun math game online. :)
Remember: They only have to do the page that is listed in their planner. Sometimes it will be just 1
side of the workbook page and sometimes both sides.
Your child is required to take the homework folder and the student
planner home every Monday - Thursday night. These two things are now located in the BEE Binder. I
am hoping that this binder will make things easier for you because all items are in one location. If a
student is regularly having a problem with returning the binder, they may be asked to sign
the behavior book. In third grade, we are really working on
responsibility. The student is responsible for writing down each homework
assignment from the board in class, placing the binder in their backpack,
and returning it to school the following day. If a student forgets to
bring his/her binder to school, please do NOT bring it to
school unless I call and request it. The students will receive points off
for all late homework assignments even if a parent brings the homework up to
school.
