This year your child will be using a F.R.O.G. Binder. F.R.O.G. stands for First grader, Responsible, Organized, and Growing. The purpose of the binder is to help your child stay organized as they grow and learn responsibility. Your child needs to bring the binder to school every day. Below you will find a brief description of each section of the binder.
Zippered pouch: This pouch is for lunch money, field trip money, scholastic money, etc.
Behavior folder (red) : Each day your child will color their square on their behavior calendar to let you know what kind of day they had. Please initial daily.
Notes to and from school folder (blue): Please send any notes in this folder. Notes sent from school will be in this folder. If the note is to be returned it will be in the “return RIGHT back” side.
Homework folder (yellow): Your child’s homework will be in this folder Monday through Thursday. Any unfinished class work will also be here.
Reading log: Your child should record each book they read at home in the book log.
Frogtastic Fact Practice: This sheet contains math facts for your child to practice. Pleaseuse a dry erase marker on the sheet protector. Check your child’s work and then wipe clean with a tissue. Front side has addition; backside has subtraction. This is for additional practice.
Class List and Schedule pocket: sheet protector with our schedule and class list with addresses and phone numbers.
Home Reader pouch: This pouch contains your home reader that should be read several times each week.Be sure to return it each day.
